Hi Alwyn – the point of running a PPC campaign is to identify the keywords that are leading to sales, and stop/delete from your campaign only the keywords that AREN’T making sales for you. So you keep the campaign running indefinitely, with only the good keywords. My Bing campaign has been running for 2+ years, and I know marketers who have been running campaigns for longer. The point is to delete unprofitable keywords, and continuously spit-test your ad copy to get a higher CTR on your ads over time.

Holy smokes Moe, that is WILD! That never occurred to me at all. I thought it was just a temporary thing and then you shut ‘er down for a bit. Thinking about it in this new light, I see how this could work. I will have to see what kind of profit margin will work for me. Right now I am in the red with my PPC campaign but this is to be expected.

Regards, Alwyn
