Post Module #7f - The headline on the survey page and the PPC ad.

Hi Moe,

In the tutorial, the PPC ad it reads, “A complete guide” but it does not state when they will receive it. Is this a problem, if the ‘when’ is a few weeks down the road once I have got the surveys back and compiled the report ? I don’t want them assuming that their “free guide” is immediately given to them once the survey is complete.

And with the headline on the landing page, people may mistakingly believe that they will receive the guide as soon as the have filled out the survey.

What do you think about this ?

Thanks, Alwyn

I agree that this is a bit of an ethical issue. But you need compelling copy if you want to get people to click your ad (and some people will complete the survey even if they won’t get the guide right away). So, it’s really up to you.

Well, in that case, I may just have to change the way the ad and the homepage reads. I will look into this further and get back to you.

I do like the way your PPC ad (snoring exercises) reads, BTW, because you’ve got keywords in 3 places, the headline, the body and the ‘display URL’ section. Did you know that (with Google, anyway) in the display URL section, you do not have to put in the actual URL that the link is connected to so in the case of ‘snoring exercises’ and the different ‘themes’, you could change the ‘display URL’ to match each ‘theme’. Not sure if this “display URL’ rule applies with Yahoo and Bing. Many people look to the URL to judge whether a site will contain the kind of info they are looking for.

And, the other day I also posted two inquiries re: the product creation PDF’s ( or video) and where the Ezinearticles.com video is ?

Thanks, Moe, Alwyn

As to my question concerning the PPC ad, where it says, “Complete Guide”, I have now come to the conclusion that this is a non issue because once the prospect goes to the survey page they will see it stated clearly that this “free guide” is given once the survey data is in and compiled.

No problemo, muchacho, the Alwyn

That’s my thinking, too, Alwyn.
